Change Key Available will not unlock a locked core!  The Change Key is used to install/remove lock cores only when they are in the unlocked position.

Your Yakima lock and key system number can be found in two places.  The easiest is on the old key.  The number should be engraved on the head of the key.  Yakima lock and key numbers start with the letter "A" and end with a three digit number. (Example: A135)  Of course, you might not have any more keys.  The second place to find your key number is on the inside of your lock core.  To remove the lock core from your Yakima accessory (bike rack, ski rack, etc.) you will need a "master key" which should have come with your locks when purchased.  This key has no teeth.  Fully insert the master key into an "UNLOCKED" lock core, wiggle, pull and remove core.  The number should be etched on the in-side of the lock.  If you no longer have the master key we can replace those as well.  If all your Yakima lock cores are locked and you have lost all the keys you must first have a locksmith unlock one lock core then remove core with master key to find the number.
