The LoadWarrior is a great choice for people wishing to carry a couple of bikes on a Yakima base rack system on the bar extending outboard of the towers on the car. Since this rack is only 39" wide, mounting bikes inside the basket uses up precious cargo space. As an alternative, though, mounting the LoadWarrior to a factory crossbar will give you the ability to mount fork-mounted bike carriers to the roof using the integrated load bars with the basket. The BOA is recommended for this application, since the bar spread is approximately 41" apart, ideal for short tray bike carriers.
