Why not put your front wheel on the roof with your bike? No need to have it inside the car taking up precious space. Dirty mountain bike tires are at home on the roof of the car.
Angle these carriers downwards when not using them, so that they don't create unnecessary wind noise. Be sure that your skewer is below the safety tabs at the end of the WheelFork, and that the wheel is fully secured before driving away.
