When purchasing and installing the Sidearm, keep in mind that this rack, like other upright bike carriers, uses more bar space than a fork mount bike rack - 12" of overall space, and 7" of actual mounting plates.  The Sidearm is set-up out of the box to install on the passenger side of the vehicle.  Be sure you read the instructions, and follow them closely, for setting this rack up for the driver side.
