This is a great value for people who have an existing siderail but no crossbar. If you intend on adding bikes, cargo boxes, or other accessories to the roof, then choose a multi-sport base rack instead, because this rack will only carry skiis and snowboards and will not support the weight of any other sport carrier. If skiing or snowboarding is all you will do then this is the best rack for you.
