Fit & Installation Tips
The Prologue Pack satisfies a need for bike racks that can mount to factory installed crossbars. The use of the 532 Ride-On Adapter will raise the bikes up about 3" from the height of the existing crossbars. The shorter, included Thule crossbar will also bring the bikes closer to the center of the vehicle, requiring more reach to load and unload the bikes.
Bikes can create alot of force and torque on crossbars, and you must consider the strength and integrity of your factory installed crossbars when using them to carry bikes. It is important for you to test them to ensure your safety, and the safety of other drivers. |
